Great Day Trip with our Guide, Mimi!

This was an incredible tour. We started at the Uplistsikhe cave complex, with structures dating from the Early Iron Age and views of a beautiful valley and river below. We then moved on to Gori to visit the Stalin museum and have a wonderful lunch with amazing dance performance (don't miss this; both the food and the dance!), and then finally we ended our journey above and then down within the ancient capital city of Mtskheta. Each site was well worth a visit. Our wonderful guide, Mimi, gave us great background information throughout our journey. I especially appreciated her feedback regarding the Stalin Museum and it's reception by visitors these days. (I had many questions!) Our museum guide was excellent too. The pics we got at Mtskheta were stunning. Mimi and the driver timed the day perfectly so that we could catch the setting sun beyond the Jvari Monastery. Our last stop was at the cathedral in Mtskheta. This has to be one of my favorite churches in Georgia. This is an excellent tour that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Georgia. Thank you Mimi!

This tour was a great way to visit some of the sites not too far from Tbilisi. Lots of history, culture and views. Best part of the tour was the tour guide, Shoti. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable. At every place we visited, Shoti provided a thorough and accurate description. Highly recommend.

Fantastic tour! Our guide Nini ( Ungo) was very attentive, patient, and tolerant, as well as knowledgeable about the country's history. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. The order in which we visited the sites was carefully planned. I strongly advise the tour!

The trip was well organised and well led by Tamur...I hope thats how the name is spelt. The driving was safe and we all felt secure because of hie experience and confidence...its just a shame the air conditioning did not work 100%. The dedalines and time spent at each stop were approopriate and the two highlights came in Gori, firstly with the excellent family meal and secondly the visist to the Stalin Museum. I would suggest finding time to squeeze in the Museum to The Great Patriotic War which is not far away but as tme was precious we could not make time to visit. A great day out

Outstanding in Every Way

We chose this your because of the various opportunities to see and do different experiences in one day. What a great your group, from check in to introductions, it was a really fun atmosphere. After check in at the tour group's office, we started promptly and departed in a very nice Mercedes van. There were 8 total passengers, lead by our amazing tour guide 'Metro'. What a great guy. Metro is extremely well educated, speaks perfect English, and has such a deep knowledge of Georgian history. And world history, because we learned so much during the entire day. Metro kept us all entertained, involved, and let us explore on our own when we wanted. He really looked out for all of us, like we were a family. Our driver was outstanding as well. Extremely safe and considerate, always ready and available whenever needed. This was a VERY well organized tour, as they all seemed to be. We arrived back at the starting place around 7:15pm exactly as planned. I would highly recommend this tour and your group because of their fair price, great itineraries, organization, and especially the tour guide, Metro. Absolutely outstanding. I'd take any tour with Metro because he was that good. And a excellent representative of the tour company, but more importantly a great ambassador of his beloved country of Georgia. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOUR. We will do it again!!!

Quite possibly the best tour I’ve had in years

Tamer (Princess of Armenia) was an incredible tour guide. An absolute credit to the company. The tour itself was also exceptional. From learning about Stalin’s past, to the rocky history of Georgia, this had something for everyone. The highlight was being treated to a full Georgian dinner at a local lady’s house. This included copious amounts of organic wine, brandy, and amazing local dances. Quite possibly the best tour I’ve had in years.

Uplistsikhe is amazing. The lunch with the local family and folk dancing is a must. The scenery at the confluence is very good. For me the Stalin museum wasn't so interesting. Brilliant guide!!

Disapointed

Quite disappointed that not able to visit the interior of the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. It is closed every Saturday and Sunday during the service hour after 17:0⁰, which should be NOTED in the iternerary. I am very dispointed not able to see the interior of the church, which was one the reason why I joined the tour. My advice is don't join the trip on Saturday and Sunday.

We have been offering this tour for years and have always made sure to visit all the scheduled destinations, including the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. The availability of the cathedral does not depend on the day of the week, as it is open every day. However, during the time of your visit, which happened to be Easter week, access to the cathedral was restricted due to religious services. Unfortunately, this was beyond our control, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We understand your disappointment at not being able to see the interior of the cathedral, and we hope that you will consider visiting Georgia again in the future.
