生活中常常會使用到的美工刀、迴紋針、立可帶，這些文具英文你知道該怎麼說嗎？大家比較熟悉的文具英文大概就是

除了最常見的
pen

pencil
之外，筆其實還分為很多不同的種類，像是原子筆就可以再分油性、水性、中性，每一種都會有不同的英文名稱。
簽字筆、奇異筆除了可以說
marker
之外，也可以寫成
permanent marker
，就是永久性、不易擦掉的記號，但現在也有人將簽字筆稱作
sharpie marker
，
Sharpie
其實是一家廠牌的名稱，但後來成為這類產品的龍頭，因此大家也就習慣這樣的稱呼了～
另外，很多筆的命名會跟它本身的功能有關，像是自動鉛筆英文裡的
mechanical
，就有機械、手動操作的意思，跟自動鉛筆的概念很像。而螢光筆英文裡去掉 er 之後，就會變成動詞
highlight
，本身就帶有強調的意思，跟螢光筆的用途也很相似！

文具英文：修正類
correction
本身就帶有修正、訂正的意思，所以多數修正相關的文具，都會帶有這字，像是
correction tape
、
correction fluid
，
tape
意思為膠帶、膠紙，
fluid
則是液體、流動的意思。
You can use
correction fluid
to cover the mistakes while writing wrong words on the paper.
當你在紙上寫錯字時，可以用立可白遮蓋錯誤。
另外，立可白有時也會寫成
wite-out
，
wite-out
是生產立可白的知名公司，所以後來有些人也會直接使用這個字來稱呼立可白。
文具英文：筆記、文件類
post-it
notes
一開始是3M公司發明此項商品後的命名，後演變成便利貼的統稱，有些人也會稱作
sticky notes
。

便利貼很划算又很容易使用。
文具英文：裁剪、裝訂類
有些人會將美工刀翻成
utility knife
，但這其實有點不適合的喔！因為
utility knife
其實是更偏向專業用途的刀片。一般家裡、辦公室常見、用來裁切紙、開箱子等較薄型的美工刀，稱作
box cutter
會比較適合喔～
長尾夾和燕尾夾可以稱為
binder clip
、
foldback clip
，前者是美式用法，後者則是英式的說法。而圖釘英文同樣有美式和英式的說法，
pushpin
、
thumbtack
較常在美國使用，
drawing pin
則是英式的用法。
He pinned up the notice with a
thumbtack

他用圖釘把這項公告釘起來。
She took the
scissors
and cut the string.
她拿剪刀把線剪掉。
文具英文：黏貼類
透明膠帶可以翻為
invisible tape
，也有另外一種說法為
scotch tape
，這個英文單字是由品牌名衍生而出，指的是不會沾黏、很好撕的那種膠帶。另外也有人會說
packing tape
、
sealing tape
，其實是差不多的東西，也可以解釋成封箱膠帶。

packing tape
will be helpful for you to pack up the boxes.
透明膠帶會在你包裝箱子時幫助你許多。
