梁思琪 2020届

Siqi have been healthily obsessed with birds since she was nineteen years old, and then she decided to become a conservation scientist who works in the intersection of conservation ecology, policy-making, and science communication. Currently, she is working with Dr. Binbin Li tracing biodiversity changes in two different types of forest and studying the impacts of livestock grazing on birds. She is a Master’s student of Environmental Policy, and a part-time science writer. She is very interested in getting a Ph.D. position to be a more professional conservation scientist.

梁思琪从十九岁开始就痴迷观鸟，之后便下定决心要成为一名保护领域的科学家，尤其是那种既擅长生态学研究，又擅长制定政策建议，和科学传播的科学家。目前她正在和李彬彬教授一起研究人工林和次生天然林中的生物多样性变化，以及林下放牧对鸟类的影响。她目前是昆山杜克大学环境政策硕士项目的二年级生，学有余力时也是一名科普作家。她正在积极地寻找合适的博士职位，希望能够成为一名更加专业的保护科学家

徐晶晶 2020届

Elle Xu is a second-year iMEP student at DKU, and is advised by Professor Binbin Li. She had rich experiences in wildlife trade studies, animal behavior studies, and nature education. Elle has worked for Wildlife Conservation Society, the Paradise Foundation, and many other conservation NGOs, and designed multiple conservation-related curriculums for social enterprises as an instructor. She conducted investigations on illegal wildlife trade in Southeast Asia and delivered presentations on top conservation conferences such as ICCB and ATBC. She also directed researches on the commercialization of wildlife conservation in Kenya, Giant panda behavior and livestock grazing policy, the social behavior of lemurs at Duke Lemur Center, and the foraging behavior of agouti and leaf-cutter ants in Costa Rica.

徐晶晶在野生动物贸易、动物行为研究、自然教育等领域拥有丰富经验。她曾服务于国际野生生物保护学会、桃花源基金会等多家保护NGO，为社会企业设计保护相关课程并担任导师。她曾深入东南亚进行野生动物贸易调查，并在ICCB、ATBC等国际顶尖保护会议上做报告。主导过肯尼亚私人保护区野保商业化模式研究、国家大熊猫繁育中心熊猫行为及国家公园放牧政策研究、杜克狐猴中心狐猴社会行为研究、哥斯达黎加刺豚鼠及切叶蚁捕食行为研究等。目前已获得国际野生生物保护学会（WCS）的工作。

曹韧 2020届

A second-year international Master of Environmental Policy student, Ren graduated from the University of California at San Diego with BA in Comparative Politics in 2016 and the American University of Rome with MA in Food Studies in 2018. Ren joined the iMEP program with experience in addressing issues in human-ecosystem interactions through analyzing the human use of land for agriculture. His goal is to strive for coming up with environmental policies that can preserve biodiversity and indigenous livelihoods without compromising living standards. Under Binbin’s mentorship, Ren is now studying the impact of railway projects on deforestation in China. As a long-time train enthusiast, he is thrilled to be able to combine his knowledge about the Chinese railway system with geospatial analysis skills to identify policy options for minimizing the impact of linear infrastructure on forests. His research interest are geospatial analysis of land use and land cover, human-environment interaction, and landscape ecology. Starting Fall 2020, he will join the Joint Geography Ph.D. Program at San Diego State University and the University of California at Santa Barbara.

曹韧是环境政策硕士项目二年级学生。他2016年从加州大学圣地亚哥分校毕业，获比较政治学文学士学位。2018年从罗马美国大学毕业，获食品研究硕士学位。加入环境政策项目时，曹韧已经有许多研究人和自然的互动的经验，这些研究大多是关于农业和农业土地使用。他的未来目标是能够制定有效环境政策，在提升生活水平的基础上同时保护生物多样性和传统生计。在李彬彬教授的指导下，他的硕士毕业论文研究了铁路基建对中国森林覆盖的影响。作为一个长期以来火车爱好者，他可以结合自己对中国铁路系统的知识和地理空间分析的方法开展研究，并为此感到振奋。他的研究兴趣包括地理空间分析、土地利用、人和自然的互动以及景观生态学。2020年秋季学期开始，他将开始在圣地亚哥州立大学和加州大学圣塔芭芭拉分校联合地理博士项目就读。

李澄溪 2021届

Chengxi is a first-year iMEP student and holds H.B.Sc. degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto. She worked as a business analyst for a year and realized the insufficiency in transforming scientific understandings into regulations. She decided to study environmental policy to learn more about policymaking processes. She wants to become an environmental policy analyst and to provide science-based suggestions to policymakers in the future.

澄溪是昆山杜克大学环境政策硕士项目的一年级学生，本科毕业于多伦多大学，是细胞分子生物和环境健康双专业毕业生。本科毕业后她作为行业研究员工作了一年，认识到了科学在立法过程中的占比远远不足。她决定了解有关决策过程的更多信息并且研究环境政策。她希望成为环境政策分析师，将来可以为决策者提供更多基于科学的政策建议。

侯丁瑞 2021届

Dingrui Hou , who holds a dual degree in management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and the University of Surrey in the UK, participated in the Global Learning Semester Program at DKU. In 2017, funded by iMEP, he led a team and conducted a research of One Belt And One Road & in green finance, and thus established an interest in green finance. At present, he assisted prof. Zhang Junjie with the research project of policy Suggestions on China's ecological protection finance.He has rich internship experience, including internships in the world economic forum, deloitte, bank of China, etc.

侯丁瑞毕业于东北财经大学和英国萨里大学管理学双学位，曾经于2017年秋季参加昆山杜克大学本科第二校园交换项目。2017年，在iMEP的资助下，他和团队进行了一带一路绿色金融的大学生调研，并因此建立对绿色金融的研究兴趣。目前，他正在跟张俊杰教授参与中国生态保护金融的政策建议的研究项目。侯丁瑞的实习经历丰富，曾经在世界经济论坛、德勤、中国银行等做过实习。
