The Dun Huang Manuscript P. 2004 contains the Laozi Transforming the Barbarians-Xuange, featuring 38 Northern Wei poems, including 8 of "Hua hu Songs", 5 of "Lamentations of Yinxi", 7 of "Laments of Taishang Huang Lao Jun", and 18 verses of "The Sixteen Transformations of Lao Jun". Lu Qin Li's Anthology of Pre-Qin, Han, Wei, Jin, and Southern and Northern Dynasties Poetry is renowned for its rigor and comprehensive scope, yet its version of Xuange from Laozi Transforming the Barbarians has numerous errors. Xiang Chu's article, "A Textual Study of the 'Xuange' in Laozi Transforming the Barbarians", provides valuable corrections. Building on Xiang's research, this paper revisits the Hua hu Song in Xuange, uncovering errors in the Dun Huang manuscript that Xiang overlooked and addressing issues in his analysis. By refining these details, this study aims to improve the textual accuracy and understanding of the Hua hu Song.
