Tübingen AI Center

The Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, the host organisation of Tübingen AI Center, is one of Germany's top universities. It has a strong Department of Computer Science in the Science Faculty as well as AI research in other fields, e.g. medicine.

The Tübingen campus of the MPI for Intelligent System, partner of Tübingen University in the Tübingen AI Center, focuses on how intelligent systems process information to perceive, act and learn through research in the areas of machine learning, computer vision, and human-scale robotics.

The aim of the cluster of excellence "Machine learning - new perspectives for science" is to enable machine learning to take a central role in all aspects of scientific discovery and to understand how such a transformation will impact the scientific approach as a whole.

Academic and private sector partners are building bridges between curiosity-driven basic research and applied research. Cyber Valley is Europe’s largest research consortium in the field of artificial intelligence.

ELLIS is a pan-European AI network of excellence focussing on fundamental science, technical innovation and societal impact. Founded in 2018, ELLIS builds upon machine learning as the driver for modern AI and aims to secure Europe’s sovereignty in this competitive field by creating a multi-centric AI research laboratory.
