。它是一种重金属音乐风格，白金属乐手都是基督徒，歌词充满宣扬基督教的主题。受众一般也是听重金属音乐的基督徒，音乐作品通常是通过各类基督教网站散播的。
基督金属乐队存在于所有的重金属音乐分支当中，而这些基督金属乐队中唯一的共性就是歌词
。乐队在自身定位的基本风格中融入基督教主题，通常是在一首作品中写入基督教义。现在基督教不象天主教，它越来越走向流行化大众化，很多讲道会上，治疗会上都会有乐队来演出，每个星期天的礼拜也经常有乐队，歌曲主题宣扬基督神迹的。此外，还有跟

乐队于1980年代发扬光大。1980年代的中晚期，极端金属风格兴起，由
