Illinois Tech the First U.S. University Approved to Establish a Campus in India
India’s University Grants Commission has granted Illinois Tech the approval to open a new campus in Mumbai—making it the first U.S. university authorized to establish a degree-granting campus in India. Illinois Tech Mumbai, slated to open in fall 2026, will offer a range of undergraduate and graduate program in high-demand fields such as computer science, data science, and business.
