During the Paris Motor Show, our QPilot Urban NOA system took on central Paris and the surrounding highways, working through tight ramps, busy intersections where it had to read local traffic lights, and close encounters with pedestrians and other vehicles. European cities are a very different environment from the roads where QPilot first went into production, and we adapted the system to match, from how it reads signals to how it deals with dense, unpredictable urban traffic. This week at the show, we’re presenting QPilot Urban NOA to a European audience for the first time and giving test rides to automakers and partners so they can see how it performs on local roads for themselves. With our European headquarters in Munich, our next step is to bring these solutions to mass production in the region. Today during the Paris Motor Show, we presented QPilot Urban NOA to automotive OEM partners and colleagues. Our test vehicles have been driving the city streets and highways around Paris, through tight ramps, roundabouts, busy junctions and plenty of pedestrians, and this week we are sharing the results of those road tests and offering test rides to European automakers and partners so they can see for themselves how the system handles local traffic. QPilot is already installed in more than one million production vehicles, across more than 40 models from over 10 automakers, and that experience is what we are now bringing to Europe. The system is designed so that its driving decisions can be traced and verified, which matters in a market with functional safety requirements as strict as Europe's, and our Munich team, along with our ASPICE CL2, ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 certifications, gives us a base to support carmakers here as we move toward mass production. Our team is at the show October 12th, 13th and 14th and we would be glad to take automakers and partners out for a ride. The Mondial de l'Auto opens to the press in Paris today, with more than 60 manufacturers at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles before the doors open to the public tomorrow. One part of this year's show stands out for us. For the first time, visitors can book a 25-minute ride in an automated vehicle on real roads, where they will see pedestrian detection, automatic braking, lane keeping, assisted lane changes and automated parking working in normal traffic. That matters, because most people still form their view of automated driving from headlines and videos rather than from sitting in the car, and trust tends to come from experience, from the second or third ride where nothing dramatic happens and the system simply behaves the way a careful driver would. Paris is a good place to find that out. Our own test vehicles have been driving the roads around the city for some time now, through narrow streets, busy junctions, cyclists and pedestrians stepping off the kerb, and it is that kind of everyday traffic that shows whether a system is ready. Our team is in Paris this week, and we would be glad to meet journalists, automakers and partners at the show. #QCraft #MondialAuto #ParisMotorShow #AutonomousDriving #ADAS #Paris

Germany's Federal Ministry of Transport has opened a €14 million funding call aimed at getting autonomous vehicles out of pilot projects and into permanent service on public roads, with a focus on public transport and road freight. What stands out is how practical the scheme is. The money can go towards buying vehicles that already have autonomous driving systems, retrofitting existing vehicles, or leasing them, and it is open to municipalities, transport authorities, bus operators and freight companies, the people who actually run routes every day, rather than only to research projects. It is a clear signal that the conversation in Germany is moving from whether autonomous vehicles work to how operators put them into daily service. That is the stage we have been building for, with Robobus carrying passengers without a driver in more than 20 cities and Robovan running commercial delivery routes, both on the same Physical AI foundation as our passenger vehicle stack, and with our Munich team, road testing and TÜV Rheinland certification work giving us a base to support operators here. Applications are open until 15 October. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gfxeEbWc #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #Germany #PublicTransport #Robobus #Robovan #SmartMobility

The Mondial de l'Auto returns to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles next month, with the press day on 12 October and the show open to the public from 13 to 18 October, bringing together more than 60 manufacturers in one of Europe's most important automotive weeks. For QCraft, Paris is more than a show venue. Our test vehicles have been on the roads around the city for some time now, working through narrow streets, busy junctions, cobblestones, cyclists and pedestrians who step off the kerb mid-conversation, the kind of everyday complexity that cannot be fully simulated and has to be learned kilometre by kilometre. That work feeds the same world models and reinforcement learning systems that run in more than one million production vehicles, and it is a big part of how we are preparing our technology for European roads and European drivers. Our team will be in Paris during show week, and we would be glad to connect with journalists, automakers and partners while we are there. #QCraft #MondialAuto #ParisMotorShow #AutonomousDriving #PhysicalAI #Paris #Europe

The conversation about autonomy often assumes the rider is someone who could have driven themselves and would rather not, which leaves out the people for whom it benefits considerably more. Someone who stopped driving in their seventies, someone who never held a licence, someone whose nearest bus runs twice a day, someone who can't drive because of a disability, for all of them it's the difference between getting somewhere and not. That's a large part of why so much of our L4 work has gone into Robobus, now carrying passengers without a driver in more than 20 cities, and why we set up in Fukuoka and tuned the vehicle for Japanese road conditions rather than adapting it after the fact, since public transport is where autonomy reaches the widest possible group of people. Convenience is the more common benefit people tend to think about about but access is just as important. #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #Robobus #PublicTransport #SmartMobility #Accessibility

The most delicate moment in assisted driving is the handover, the second where the system decides it has reached the edge of what it can handle and asks a person who may have stopped paying close attention to take the wheel. Get that wrong and everything else stops mattering, because a system that gives up abruptly trains drivers to distrust it, while one that hands back too late puts someone in a situation they had no time to read. It is critical how much warning the system gives, how clearly it signals what it wants, and how clearly it tracks whether the driver is actually there, which is also why L3 is as much a question of regulation, liability and insurance as it is of capability, and why we expect the groundwork to take another two to three years even as the technology moves faster than that. Knowing when to ask for help, and asking early enough to be useful, is part of being good at the job. #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #ADAS #VehicleSafety #SmartDriving

Driverless doesn't mean people-free, and anyone running a fleet knows where the day actually goes: vehicle intake, charging, cleaning sensors and cameras, loading software before dispatch, pulling driving data at the end of a shift, sending someone out when a vehicle gets stuck. This is what commercial operations actually looks like, and it's usually the part of the business that decides whether a fleet is successful. Our Robovan work in Guangzhou runs as transport capacity as a service, so we're accountable for the delivery arriving and not only for the software behaving, and the numbers come from that discipline as much as from the driving stack, with roughly an hour to charge and operating cost on live routes sitting more than 50% below the human-driven equivalent. Design for the depot as seriously as you design for the road, because a vehicle that drives beautifully and takes an hour to turn around will lose to one that drives well and turns around in ten minutes. #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #Robovan #FleetOperations #Logistics #PhysicalAI

There is a lot of attention on how much computing power the next generation of intelligent vehicles will have. For automakers, though, the more practical question is what the system can actually do with it. More compute affects cost, power consumption, cooling and vehicle integration. So increasing TOPS is not automatically the same thing as building a better production system. This is part of the reason we put so much work into QPilot Pro running urban NOA on a single 128-TOPS chip. The engineering challenge was not to use the biggest hardware platform available. It was to deliver strong urban driving performance within a configuration that makes sense for a production vehicle. At the higher end, QPilot MAX gives us considerably more compute to work with. Both approaches matter. Different vehicle segments have different cost and performance requirements. Autonomous driving technology has to fit those realities if it is going to reach more than a small number of premium models. #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #ADAS #AutomotiveAI

The world's largest law firm now publishes an annual global guide to autonomous vehicle regulation. That fact alone says something about where this industry is. Dentons' newly released 2026 Global Autonomous Vehicles Guide maps the legal and regulatory frameworks governing AV testing, deployment, liability, and data governance across key jurisdictions worldwide. A few years ago, a resource like this would have covered two or three markets. Today it spans continents, because autonomy is being written into law almost everywhere at once. For companies in this industry, that changes what winning looks like. The technology travels. The regulatory homework does not. Every market has its own certification pathways, liability regimes, data rules, and road conventions, and none of it can be handled from a headquarters on another continent. This is why QCraft has invested in being local wherever we operate. Our European headquarters in Munich. Road testing in Germany and France. A certification partnership with TÜV Rheinland. QCraft Japan in Fukuoka, with vehicles tuned for Japanese road conditions. L4 deployments in Singapore and Hong Kong, China, alongside our operations in the Chinese mainland and the Middle East. The guide is worth a read for anyone working across borders in this industry: https://lnkd.in/gVAZi7Kv #QCraft #AutonomousDriving #AVRegulation #GlobalExpansion #PhysicalAI #SmartMobility
