Caviar Green WD7500AADS fails the Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics Quick test with following error message:
also computer freezes very often and displaying Data error (cyclic redundancy check) while copying. what should i do?
p.s. OS: Windows 7
how do i get my money back as i dont want the 3 week wait i had last time to get a new drve that then fails again
Quick Test on drive 1 did not complete!
Status code = 07 (Failed read test element), Failure Checkpoint = 97 (Unknown Test)
SMART self-test did not complete on drive 1!
in last two month, i replaced my drive two times because bad sectors problems. again i’m experiencing the same problem with the third one.
Is there some manufacturing problem with WD Caviar Green …

Hi David,
i already checked power supply and changed my motherboard three weeks before. i also have a second HD, which i use during the replacement time but there is no problem with that drive.
i bought the drive in feb. after 40-45 days it developed the bad sector. the drive i got in replacement didn’t pass the DLGDIAG test and now this is the third disk having the same problem.

Yea ordered the 500 green off Newegg and I dont think the driver cd came with it. Can someone help and point me in the right direction as to where I can download the driver for windows 7? Guess Win dosnt come with basic drivers anymore huh?
