Young Ace UP
(
ヤングエースUP
,
Yangu Eesu UP
?
)
is the webcomic magazine that publishes
The Summer Hikaru Died
.
Overview
[
]
Young Ace UP began publication in December 2015. It originated as an offshoot of
Young Ace
, a monthly
seinen
manga
magazine published by
Kadokawa Shoten
. Young Ace UP can be accessed for free through Web Ace, Kadokawa's portal website that hosts its multiple webcomic magazines.
Unlike its parent magazine, Young Ace UP series are not published simultaneously and they do not update strictly once a month. Instead, releases are staggered throughout the month, with typically 1-4 ongoing series releasing an update on the same day. Updates are posted at 11 am (JST/UTC+9) between Monday and Friday. After enough chapters are published digitally, some series are collected into
tankōbon
volumes.
The Summer Hikaru Died
began its publication in Young Ace UP on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. It continued releasing chapters in three or four parts, releasing one part every Tuesday on a weekly basis. There is typically a two-week gap between full chapters – for example, Chapter 23-3 and Chapter 23-4 were released one week apart, while Chapter 23-4 and Chapter 24-1 were released two weeks apart. It is also typical for there to be a longer hiatus every 5 full chapters, historically lasting as long as 4-6 weeks, to prepare for the release of the
tankōbon
volume.
