Show more Mac won’t start up I’m Trying to do a disc recovery because I got a circle with a slash through it. Now I have the earth with an exclamation point and under that it says Apple.com/support and under that is says -2003F. How do I fix it? Big Time Problem with recent Big Sur Update - Cannot start my MacBook Air ! Anyone else out there in Apple land have this issue? This Big Sur update was May, 2021. Apple Tech Support cannot solve it. Referred me to the store techs. They can't solve it either. Told to take the computer to a data recovery specialist (expensive and opens other cans of worms). Any suggestions? Not happy with store experience - can't get through to any tech that worked on the computer. Hokie2

That indicates some sort of network issue. Try connecting the laptop directly to your router using an Ethernet cable and any appropriate adapter if necessary.


You may also want to try a PRAM reset (hold the PRAM reset for at least three chimes or a full minute if possible unless you have a newer Mac where it only allows a single activation of the reset).
