Thank you all!
The LT29 was successfully held between August 18 and 24 with about 1,145 registrants from 34 countries and
regions, and more than 1,000 registered presentations including the posters. On behalf of the organizers,
we deeply appreciate your active participation with overwhelming research achievements since the LT28 held
five years ago. Far exceeding our anticipation, more than 780 participants, including nearly 150 from overseas,
gathered onsite in Sapporo. In a few weeks, the videos of the oral presentations will be made available to the
registrants of the LT29 from the Confit APP.
Since the LT29 was held as a large-scale hybrid international conference under the corona infection
countermeasures, we introduced a number of new approaches. We appreciate the strong supports of the
participants to make such a conference possible.
Last but not least, we express our appreciations to all the supports from so many agencies and institutions,
as well as more than twenty exhibitors.
We look forward to meeting you again in the LT30 to be held in Bilbao in 2025.

We are overwhelmed by the number of registrations. We have over 1000 completed registrations and
are expecting more applicants.
Due to the high volume of demands, we are extending the early-bird registration deal.
(3)
We accept
last-minute contributions
to the poster presentations until
June 25 (23:59 JST).

Reminder: Please note that presentations (of both talks and posters) will be cancelled unless the
payment of registration fees is completed by
July 18 (23:59 JST).
(4) Entry to Japan
While the Japanese government is gradually relaxing the entry policy to Japan,
a visa is still required for every entry by non-Japanese.
As previously announced, the LT29 organization itself cannot host visa acquisition
of the participants for technical reasons.
Some of the LT29 organizing committee members are individually hosting plenary,
half plenary and invited speakers but the capacity is very limited. We have been made aware that
a large number of participants are expressing their willingness to participate on-site.
We are currently looking for other possible ways to support the visa acquisitions for the LT29.
We will keep you updated through this Web site.
