Following the request from a Filipino client in 2013, the number of cases mainly in the Philippines has increased, and I have been involved in activities related to international human rights issues at JFBA and NGOs.

Seiji Yamaura was admitted to the bar in 2009, practiced Civil Laws and Immigration Law in Takasaki Goudou Law Office in Gunma for about 4 years. Since then, he tried to support vulnerable people and foreign nationals in Gunma for them to gain access to justice. Thereafter, he decided to study International Human Rights Law in London in 2013. At the same time, he supported Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Refugees in Serbia and Kosovo in 2013 by joining the activities held by the Japanese NGO. In 2014, he took his Internship in The Commission of Human Rights in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines where typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) ended many lives. After coming back to Japan, he became more eager to assist foreign nationals who need his help as he upholds the belief that access to justice is the right of every individual.

The other is a saying of unknown origin.
"A positive and joyful heart will always triumph." or "Laughing is winning."

Past lectures: Embassy seminar "Criminal Case Basics" (English) April 2018, Embassy Seminar "Procedimiento del Caso Criminal" (Spanish) June 2019, etc. After registering as an attorney, I have handled cases in a wide range of fields including civil cases. On the other hand, I have been particularly focused on medical cases (patient side) and foreign cases.
We are working on public interest issues regarding the acceptance of foreign workers and the realization of a multicultural society that has become a hot topic in recent years.

Practice Area

Domestic and international problems related to families (disputes related to children, couples / divorce, inheritance / will), issues related to foreigners, Corporate compliance (especially antitrust law, subcontract law, Employment law, anti-corporate response) and other general civil commerce cases.

In addition to overseas family law research, he is studying a new way of thinking ("Relational welfare theory") as a research activity, that can be applied in practice from the viewpoint of the ethics of care and relationship theory, regarding the understanding of child welfare or child's best interests referring to the British debate.
