Exact phrase (“ ”)
e.g. “Apple is good” means to find documents having the exact phrase “Apple is good”.
All of these words (AND)
e.g. Apple AND Lemon means to find documents having both words
Any of these words (OR)
e.g. Apple OR Lemon means to find documents having either words
Exclude these words (NOT)
e.g. Apple NOT Lemon means to find documents having Apple but not Lemon
Relative distance (NEAR)
e.g. NEAR((Apple, Lemon), 2, false) means to find documents having Apple within 2 words apart from Lemon. If you want to match the order of words, specify NEAR((Apple, Lemon), 2, true)
Wildcards Search (% or _)
A percent sign (%) can be used to match zero or more characters of English words at the same time.
e.g. appl% means to find documents having “apply”, “applies”, “applying”, “application” etc.
e.g. apply% means to find documents having “apply”, “applying”, etc.
A percent sign (%) can also be used to match 1 English word.
e.g. apple % good means to find documents having “apple is good” or “apple tastes good”.
An underscore (_) can be used to match any single character within an English word.
e.g. appl_ means to find documents having “apple”, “apply”, etc.
Wildcards search is not applicable to searching Chinese words.
