I am currently a Graphics Research Lead at Meta Reality Labs Research solving interesting computer graphics problems for AR/VR. Previously, I was working as a graphics research lead at the Technology Development Group of Apple , a principle graphics engineer at the Cloud Rendering Service team of Autodesk , and a postdoctoral researcher at the Program of Computer Graphics of Cornell University .

In 1997, I was enrolled in Zhejiang University . After four years' study, I started my graphics journey by continuously pursuing my M.S. degree at the State Key Lab of CAD&CG of Zhejiang University . During the master phase, I was fortunately able to work on interesting graphics research problems under the supervision of Prof. Qunsheng Peng and Prof. Wei Chen . Since September 2005, I started to pursue my PhD at the Computer Graphics Group of the Max-Planck-Institut f&uumlr Informatik in Saarbr&uumlcken, Germany, and my PhD supervisor was Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Seidel . During the PhD phase, I was closely collaborating with Prof. Jan Kautz to dive deep into real-time rendering research. Also I had ever visited the Internet Graphics Group at MSRA under the supervision of Prof. Xinguo Liu and Computer Graphics Group at MSR under the supervision of Dr. John Snyder . My mentors are wonderful and I have learned so much from them for both my research and career!

Sep. 12th, 2013  Our paper " A Practical Algorithm for Rendering Interreflections with All-frequency BRDFs " has been accepted by ACM TOG.    Jul. 28th, 2013  Our work " Complex Luminaire Rendering " has been documented as a technical report (PCG-13-02), and is currently under submission.    Jul. 22th, 2013  Our paper " Anisotropic Spherical Gaussians " has been accepted by ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2013, and details are coming soon.    Jan. 19th, 2013  Our work about precomputation-based real-time rendering of volume scattering has been accepted by IEEE TVCG.
