Fly like a bird and view the earth from high above in high definition.  The AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition quadricopter’s on-board Wi-Fi system puts you in control via your iPhone®, iPod touch® or iPad® devices or select Android™ smartphones (2.2 and above) Simply download the AR.FreeFlight 2.0 app in order to fly and pilot the Drone either with or without the accelometer as well as recording images and videos of your flight in 720 HD quality.

HD video capture and sharing facilities

Featured at the front of the AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition is an HD camera (1280 x 720) with a 92° wide-angle diagonal lens and CMOS sensor, making it perfect for recording your flight and taking images. Images are encoded and streamed on smatphones and tablets at 30 fps and the camera supports tag detection for augmented reality.

Additionally, a direct Wi-Fi connection allows live video streaming to your smartphone / tablet control pad and lets you see images as if you were in the pilot seat and a USB recording option also lets you record directly to USB data sticks. Additionally, thanks to its own generated Wi-Fi network, players can create a game party where others players can join and play against each other. The multiplayer game, named AR.PURSUIT, makes it possible to have a battle between two AR.Drone

Patented new Absolute Control piloting mode makes it even easier to fly. Just tilt your controller in the direction you want AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition to go—it’s that easy. And with a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis magnetometer and pressure sensor, your flights will be surprisingly stable at any altitude.

The AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition includes two flying modes for beginners and more advanced users as well as including the first ever stunt feature. Double tap on a specific button found on the piloting device screen in order to perform a flip.

The free AR.FreeFlight app lets you record flights and take HD videos or photos and save them in the piloting device. All flight data (altitude, speed, duration and place) can be saved, checked and shared with the online community. In order to prevent damage caused by accidental bumps you can adapt it the AR drone to any situation using the two carbon fibre hulls provided. The full hull shield protects the AR Drone from impacts that will occur during wild battles against enemies hidden in the rooms of your house, while the streamlined hull is aerodynamic, allowing greater control outside.
